Naviri Magazine - The Hollywood Reporter (THR), media yang konsen dalam pemberitaan tentang film, merilis 100 film terfavorit sepanjang masa. Dalam pemilihanya, THR memberikan email ke 2.120 orang dari pemilik studio, perusahaan media, sampai para filmmaker.
Ada beberapa orang yang awalnya menolak berpartisipasi, salah satunya pencipta Breaking Bad, Vince Gilligan. "Bagiku, ini setara dengan memiliki tas Nacho Doritos seukuran pesta, lalu disuruh makan hanya lima," kata Vince Gilligan kepada THR.
Namun akhirnya dia memilih film favoritnya (salah satunya Yojimbo tahun 1961). Para pemilih lain di antaranya kepala Fox Jim Gianopulos, Alan Horn dari Disney, sutradara Gary Ross, produser Frank Marshall, Warners 'Sue Kroll, agen Robert Newman, pengacara John Burke, pembuat film John Singleton, dan banyak lagi.
Anda bisa saja setuju atau tidak setuju dengan pilihan orang-orang yang dimunculkan oleh THR. Setiap orang tentu memiliki pandangannya masing-masing. Seperti dikatakan Michael Bay, "Film favorit Anda bisa berubah setiap hari."
